the Bible

Last blog I told you all about one of my favorite books. This week I am going to tell y'all about one of the greatest books ever, and its name is the Bible. From 1815 to 1975 it was estimated that there could have been five billion copies. There is an estimate that there is 670 languages translated so far. but have you ever asked yourself why it's so huge? That's what I am going to talk about today.      I might not be a bible scholar but there are some pretty huge things that went on in this Holy Bible. I think of when Moses killed the Egyptian guard who was beating an old man. I also think of David fighting a giant! Imagine walking up to a 20 foot tall giant and not being afraid, why? because he knew that God was with him, and that he would see him through.      I think of the time when David was on the run from his own son! But even though he knew he was in grave danger, he still worshipped God. Psalms 63:4 says "I will praise you as long as I live, lifting

The Heroes of Olympus

In my last blog, I told you about my favorite genre of books. Today is going to be about the series, Heroes of Olympus. It starts nine months after the Titan War, where Kronos, the titan leader, wants to finally overthrow the gods. The first book follows three kids, Leo, Piper, and Jason. Jason is a heroic character in this book, and takes the leader roll with ease. Piper is the daughter of a big movie actor, and feels like her father never has time for her. Leo loves fidgeting with things, and likes building things out of scratch. I fell in love with this series as soon as I laid eyes on it. The only thing that I recommend, is that you read the Percy Jackson series first.

Books are amazing

Today I want to talk to you about my love for books. I love books because there are so many great genres and you can choose from anyone that you want. They can make you laugh, but also make you cry, but you can always count on the suspension in your books. You can choose from good old fashion drama, or mystery, you might even prefer autobiography's. I, personally like action books where the good guy doesn't have the best odds, especially in the Harry Potter series, where he had someone plotting to kill him since he was born. There's also the Divergent series, which I highly recommend, the main character makes one decision and rewrites her future. Finally my personal favorite, The Heroes of Olympus with the book following multiple characters and the suspension would kill you. There are billions of books out there, its time we put down our phones and read a book for a change.
